The production of Çeshm-i Bülbül came to light during the Sultan Selim III period (1789-1807) in the works of the glass workshops of Beykoz.
As the pattern of the glasses produced in this technique is likened to the eyes of the nightingale, Çeshm-i Bülbül is called Bülbül Gözü, continues to be produced by the traditional production method.
