The symbolic features of palaces and palaces in Istanbul were carefully observed as indicators of power, grandeur and wealth. These include, in particular, mirrors; they were decorated with precious stones such as emerald, ruby, diamond and turquoise.
The Sırcalı Palace Mirror in the Istanbul Collection is designed with inspiration from the Murassa Mirror, which was exhibited in the Topkapı Palace Museum and dated to the end of the 16th century.
Sirçalı Saray Ayna is decorated with 24 carat gold gilding and colored glass beads by hand workmanship. The production of Circular Palace Mirror is limited to 1999 pieces.
