Talismanic goods made  for the protection of evil, healing, luck have been used for thousands of years and still continue to be used. Man believed that various idols and statuettes as well as monotheistic religions would protect themselves from evil. In later periods, a wide variety of objects, believed to have positive effects, were used, on which the names and adjectives of divine power were processed with various symbols and shapes.
 
A similar understanding can be seen in the "Collection of Amulet Shirts" in Topkapı Palace, which shows the beliefs of the Ottoman Sultans, prayer and destiny. These shirts were believed to have cured the illness, protecting the wearer against diseases and various kinds of evil.
