Piri Reis World Map, which is prepared by details of the twenty maps, including the lost map of Christopher Columbus, is a valuable historical document containing the geography information of the 16th century European and Muslim seafarers.
The first world map of the Ottoman admiral Piri Reis, drawn in 1513, is one of the oldest maps of the American continent. The map, which is severed from the right, shows the west coast of Europe and Africa and the eastern coast of South America. The original of the map drawn with various colors, paintings and writings on the gazelle's skin is 90 x 65 cm.
The original map is in Topkapı Palace today.
