One of the parts of the Topkapı Palace, Karaagalar Taşlığı was named after the Karaağalar ’, whose main task was to keep guard at the gates of the Harem, to control the exits and not to let anyone inside. It is known that the sultan crossed the stony path extending across the stony path. The walls on both sides of this road are decorated with tiles. The patterns on the Devr-i Lale Sugar Bowl are inspired by these tile motifs. Devr-i Lale Sugar bowl is made of turquoise blue colored glass and all of the patterns are handcrafted with 24 carat gold gilding and glass paints.
